Claude says:The Veils recorded this in Laurel Canyon with producer Nick Launay, leaning hard into a darker, heavier sound than their debut — Jane Scarpantoni's string arrangements (she worked with Lou Reed for years) add weight to ferocious tracks like "Jesus for the Jugular" and the title cut. You picked it up two decades late in October 2026 and went deep immediately, spreading plays across "A Birthday Present," "Advice For Young Mothers To Be," "Calliope!," and the title track itself.
