Claude says:Finn Andrews — son of XTC's Barry Andrews, raised in Auckland — has been steering The Veils through indie rock's darker corners since the early 2000s, when label disputes delayed his precocious debut. Fragile World finds him leaning into skeletal arrangements and spectral atmospheres, closer to chamber pop than the guitar-driven urgency of earlier records. You grabbed it the month it came out and haven't let go — "Lungs" and "Aurora" are already lodged deep, along with the title track's hushed unraveling.
