Claude says:Billy Corgan's Chicago alt-rock juggernaut cycled through gothic heaviness, grunge crunch, and dreamy electronics across the '90s, selling 30 million albums before their 2000 breakup. This compilation pulls the big singles — the industrial stomp of "Bullet With Butterfly Wings," the wistful synth-pop of "1979," the string-laden "Disarm" — plus deeper cuts like the _Lost Highway_ contribution "Eye" and their Fleetwood Mac cover. You grabbed it in late 2010 and leaned on it hardest the following summer, wearing out "Eye" and "Bullet" until the whole thing went quiet by fall 2011.
