Claude says:The National's sixth album came out through 4AD in May 2013, recorded at Clubhouse Studios in upstate New York with contributions from St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, and Sufjan Stevens — a sessions interrupted by tornado-level winds that knocked out power and left the band playing the songs acoustic by candlelight. You grabbed it right when it dropped, then mostly let it sit until May 2024, when something brought you back hard: "Don't Swallow the Cap," "I Need My Girl," "Graceless," and "Demons" have been the keepers.
