popalternativeforeverone tree hilloutsider

The Daylights were a Los Angeles trio fronted by brothers Ran and Ricky Jackson, best known for songs that landed in One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, and The Sims 2. This EP leans into their melodic alt-rock side — bright guitars, some melancholy, plenty of hook. A stray play in 2011, another in 2012, but nothing landed until October 2019, when "If Words Were Bullets" and "Outsider" finally clicked in a short, concentrated burst before fading out by early 2021.
