Released October 28, 2016

indie rockrock

The Boxer Rebellion started in London in 2001 when Tennessee singer Nathan Nicholson connected with local players after his mother's death — they'd eventually release six albums, including Ocean by Ocean the same year this EP came out. Waves & Waves collects alternate versions of songs from that record, stripping back the studio gloss to reveal the bones of their atmospheric indie rock. You grabbed it right when it dropped in November 2016, working through all four alt takes in quick succession before moving on.
