Claude says:The Boxer Rebellion formed in London in 2001 around Tennessee-born singer Nathan Nicholson and a crew of London Music School graduates, building their sound after ditching an earlier project called Slippermen. This comp gathers early singles and EP tracks from their Poptones era — raw, spacious alternative rock that predates their studio albums but already has the band's knack for atmosphere and restraint. You locked into it in late 2012 and rode it hard through 2015, then kept circling back every couple of years when you needed those early versions of "Code Red" and "Palisade."
