Claude says:The Black Keys' eighth album landed in mid-2014, their fourth with Danger Mouse and first to hit number one in the U.S. Tracked mostly at Sunset Sound during the summer of 2013, it came out slower and more psychedelic than El Camino — Dan Auerbach was going through a divorce, and the sessions leaned into that mood with soul and garage rock stretched into something hazier. You grabbed it right when it dropped in June 2014, leaned on "Fever" and the sprawling "Weight of Love," then mostly let it go until a few scattered returns years later.
