Claude says:The Black Keys recorded this one mostly at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama, with the slightly run-down conditions pushing them toward a stripped-down, bass-heavy approach that became the album's signature. It won them a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album and spawned their first Hot 100 hit with "Tighten Up" — though you've always leaned harder on "Howlin' for You" and the groove of "Everlasting Light." You picked it up in early 2011, played it heavily through 2012, then came back to it a decade later for another sustained run.
