Claude says:The original 1964 Christmas Album gave the Beach Boys a chance to harmonize their way through seasonal standards and a few originals, capturing their vocal blend at full strength before the mid-sixties experiments kicked in. You picked it up in December 2018 and it's stayed in rotation as a reliable December arrival ever since, a fixture that shows up every couple of years when the calendar turns cold. "Little Saint Nick" gets the most spins, but the whole thing works as a time capsule of early-sixties AM optimism wrapped in sleigh bells.
