Claude says:Jimmy LaValle released this EP first through a Spanish label in 2003, then added five live tracks for its 2005 American reissue on Better Looking Records — the live cuts, recorded at the Tabernacle Theater in Atlanta, became half of what you kept coming back to. You found it in late 2008, five years after its initial release, and wore it out through the following autumn: "Wet the Day" and "The MP" from that Atlanta show, plus the studio pieces "Brennivin" and "Malmo," all got heavy rotation during a year when you were deep into LaValle's gauzy, post-rock drift.
