Claude says:Jimmy LaValle started the Album Leaf in San Diego as a solo outlet while playing guitar in Tristeza, building tracks around Rhodes piano and vintage drum machines. This pair of EPs wraps his early ambient post-rock — drifting synthesizer beds, hushed electronics, and those signature piano loops — into one quiet package. You played it steadily through 2010 and into 2011, returning to "we need help" and "enchanted hill" most, then circled back for a handful of spins the following summer before letting it drift.
