Claude says:Jaten Dimsdale built his stage name from internet slang and his sound from his father's soul collection — Marvin Gaye and Al Green meeting contemporary pop and hip-hop. This 2022 EP delivers exactly that blend: warm, gravitational R&B vocals over modern production, with "Devil in a Dress" and the aching "Someone Who Loved You" landing hardest. You caught it in early 2024, two years after release and just before "Lose Control" made him unavoidable — leaned hard into it for a few weeks, then mostly let it go.
