Claude says:Swift wrote, recorded, and released this in under a week in December 2019, inspired by the Pennsylvania Christmas tree farm where she grew up helping her dad. The song opens with a jazzy 1950s intro before turning into an upbeat orchestral pop ballad about childhood holiday memories, and critics praised it as one of the best modern Christmas songs. You had a lone play back in 2020 and then two more scattered through 2024, but it finally clicked in December 2025 when you played it three times in quick succession — six years after release, the nostalgia must have hit different.
