Claude says:Sufjan Stevens — Detroit-born multi-instrumentalist known for symphonic indie folk, electronica experiments, and an entire Christmas box set series — recorded this reverent batch of carols and originals as the first in his Yuletide series. It showed up in your December 2008, right when the whole five-volume Songs for Christmas project hit, and you leaned on the hushed hymnal tones of "Lo! How a Rose E'er Blooming" and the playful bounce of "We're Going To The Country!" You cycled through it a couple Decembers, then let it go.
