Claude says:Sigur Rós recorded this with the intention of singing everything in English, then changed their minds mid-process — translating some lyrics back to Icelandic, rewriting others entirely — though "All Alright" stayed, their first song in English. The result is their most playful and fanciful record, leaning into acoustic guitars and folk structures instead of the ethereal minimalism of their early albums. You picked it up in late 2019, more than a decade after release, and came back hard for one more round in 2021 — "All Alright" and "Inní mér syngur vitleysingur" still holding their place alongside the scattered brightness of "Festival" and "Fljótavík."
