Claude says:This was the first Chili Peppers album with John Frusciante and Chad Smith — recorded in 1989 after Hillel Slovak's death, with Frusciante pushing the band toward melody while producer Michael Beinhorn wanted heavy metal overdubs. You've got a handful of plays scattered across five years, mostly their cover of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground" and the instrumental "Pretty Little Ditty," but this one never really stuck.
