Claude says:LaMontagne was a New Hampshire-born singer-songwriter who worked in a shoe factory before a Stephen Stills song on his alarm clock radio inspired him to quit and start performing in 1999. This Bonnaroo EP captured him live in 2005, a year after his debut Trouble had turned him into a hushed-voice folk hero — raw acoustic sets with "Burn," "Shelter," and that aching "Jolene" he'd already become known for. You grabbed it in summer 2012, seven years after the festival, cycled through those six songs pretty hard for a month, then came back for one more round in late 2013 before letting it go.
