Claude says:RATM's 1996 follow-up debuted at #1 and borrowed Reagan's Cold War slur for its title — "Evil Empire" was what he called the Soviet Union. The single "Bulls on Parade" became their signature stomp, "Tire Me" won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance, and they pushed out five singles just like they did with the debut. You didn't fully engage until early 2014, eighteen years after release, but you keep coming back to the whole first half — "Bulls on Parade," "People of the Sun," "Vietnow," "Down Rodeo" — like it's a continuous argument you need to hear again.
