Claude says:Polyphia's Plano, Texas guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage built a reputation blending prog-rock intricacy with hip-hop and electronic production — a sound that fully arrived on 2018's New Levels New Devils but started taking shape here. The Most Hated is all fleet-fingered tapping runs and syncopated grooves, technical but never self-serious, a gateway to the band's later pop-metal fusion. You circled it a few times over two years before it clicked last August, nine years after release, and since then you've lived inside "Goose" and "40oz" — the tracks where their showy chops feel most effortless.
