Claude says:Bob Powers and Caleb Culver, two guys from Grandview, Missouri, made this unusually austere passion narrative — guitars and programming that feel more like post-rock than praise music, circling the final week of Christ in fragments and atmosphere. You grabbed it in December 2012 and ran it hard through early 2014, the title track and "Chains Come Off" anchoring a sequence that moves from interrogation to crucifixion without much of the triumphalism you'd expect from IHOP-adjacent projects. After a couple brief returns in 2016 and 2017, it surfaced again for a handful of plays earlier this year, those old meditations still landing when you need them spare and serious.
