Claude says:This Vegas band's 2005 debut splits down the middle — the first half rides pop-punk with programmed beats and Noughties electroclash flash, while the second half goes full vaudeville baroque, all harpsichords and cabaret drama. It caught hold for you a year after release in August 2006, right as "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" was pushing it past a million sales, and you went deep on the weirder cuts: "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage" and "London Beckoned Songs About Money Written by Machines" still top your play list. You circled back hard in July 2026 for the 20th anniversary remaster, digging into the whole thing again after years of sporadic check-ins.
