Claude says:Palace makes guitar-driven indie rock that threads melancholy through sturdy melodic hooks — British without being precious about it, earnest without tipping into overwrought. Life After leans into that balance: songs like "No Other" and "Berlin" build carefully, letting the arrangement breathe before they hit. You picked this up seven years after release, in August, and it's stayed close since — "Heaven Up There" and "Martyr" seem to be the ones you circle back to most.
