poppop rock

Nick Mulvey studied ethnomusicology and played the Hang with Mercury-nominated Portico Quartet before breaking out as a singer-songwriter in 2011. First Mind strings together fingerpicked guitar, subtle percussion, and a calm, precise voice — thoughtful pop-folk that feels closer to José González than anything bombastic. You gave it a single spin in mid-2026, landing on "Fever To The Form" but never circling back.
