Claude says:Paul Meany's Mutemath built their early sound on sample-heavy electronica and vintage soul-psych instincts — think DJ Shadow meeting the Police — before eventually shifting toward a more rock-centered hybrid. This EP arrived for you in early 2012, right when Meany and Darren King's partnership was still firing on all cylinders, and you played it straight through before it vanished for over a decade. You came back to it hard in 2025, circling "Spotlight," "Clockwork," and the Son Lux remix like old friends you'd left behind.
