Claude says:Paul Meany and drummer Darren King started this New Orleans project in 2002, blending sample-based electronica with vintage Rhodes, synths, and a thick coating of '60s soul and psych-rock grit. Spotlight leans into their jammy, textured side — swirling keyboards, tight grooves, and Meany's restless production instincts pushing against the post-rock frame. You first played this in 2009, then it came back in early 2026 with a flurry of listens before going quiet again.
