Claude says:Mutemath's second album took nearly three years to finish — the band kept thinking they were writing it on the road, then scrapped everything and started over just months before it finally came out in August 2009. It's their first record where all four members collaborated equally, documented through YouTube studio clips and street interviews with New Orleans locals reacting to early snippets. You grabbed it right when it dropped and played it hard through 2012, then kept circling back in waves every few years — "Goodbye" and "The Nerve" still land whenever you need that restless, clipped energy.
