Claude says:Mew's second album started as a 5,000-copy self-release on their own Evil Office label in 2000, complete with a hidden track whose opening seconds loop back to kick off "Am I Wry? No" — the kind of structural gimmick that fits this Danish band's dreamy, effects-laden approach. You grabbed it nearly a decade after release in early 2009 and burned through it in a month, especially "Comforting Sounds" and "Her Voice Is Beyond Her Years," but never circled back.
