Claude says:Mew's sixth album arrived in April 2015 after a five-and-a-half-year gap, reuniting the band with bassist Johan Wohlert and producer Michael Beinhorn (who'd helmed 2005's And the Glass Handed Kites). It hit number one in Denmark and drew praise for its grand, meticulous sound — Pitchfork called it "one of the more magnificent-sounding rock records" of the year. You grabbed it right at release and lived hard with "Satellites," "Witness," and "The Night Believer" through early summer, then circled back for a serious run in August 2018 before it drifted to the margins.
