Claude says:Metallica recorded Reload during the same marathon sessions as Load at The Plant in Sausalito, originally planning a double album before splitting nearly 30 songs into two releases — this second half arrived seventeen months later in 1997, featuring their first-ever guest singer (Marianne Faithfull) and leaning further into hard rock, blues, and grunge experiments that divided critics who thought the whole thing should've been one tighter record. You picked it up in early 2016, almost two decades after release, and it surfaced again in scattered bursts through 2023 and early 2024 with "Fuel" and "The Memory Remains" leading the way.
