Claude says:The Black Album came 33 years after its August 1991 release, with eight months of clashing between Metallica and producer Bob Rock at One on One in LA, yielding their biggest commercial pivot — slower, heavier, more polished than the thrash that made them. You finally let it in early 2024, nearly three decades on, and leaned hardest on the twin pillars everyone knows: "Enter Sandman" and "Nothing Else Matters," with "The Unforgiven" close behind. It's cooled off since that first month, but those singles still come around.
