Claude says:Chris Marigold and Michael Tognarelli had already spent years navigating drum and bass, breaks, and downbeat before releasing this quieter, more searching record under the name Mar. The Silence trades their club roots for wide-open ambient post-rock — patient, textural, built from guitar, electronics, and space rather than rhythm. You picked it up in early 2008, the same year it properly circulated, and returned hard in early 2010, working through "Bows" and the title track when the mood called for something slow and enveloping.
