Claude says:Mae spent 2009 releasing one song per month through their website for a dollar each, donating proceeds to humanitarian projects — this three-EP set was the final collection from that experiment before they reunited their original lineup and announced an indefinite hiatus. The music is warm, cinematic indie rock with big choruses and careful production, the kind of thing that feels earnest without tipping into precious. You picked it up right as they were finishing in June 2010, playing "The Fisherman Song" and "Good (M)orning" heavily that summer before the band went quiet.
