Claude says:Incubus came back after a long break with this straightforward, concise album in 2011, produced by Brendan O'Brien — their final record for Epic and a quieter chapter after years of hard touring. You picked it up right when it came out, riding "Promises, Promises" and "Defiance" through that summer, then let it drift a year later. The band had scattered to fall in and out of love, study at Harvard, raise kids; the album sounds like people who needed the pause.
