Claude says:Howie Day built his reputation as a live solo artist in the late '90s, looping himself onstage with samplers and effects pedals before Epic picked him up and turned "Collide" into a platinum single. This 2005 album captures that one-man show energy across cities — Boston, Norfolk, Salt Lake — stripping down the hits and a Crowded House cover to voice, guitar, and whatever he could layer in real time. You grabbed it in early 2009, four years after release, and spent a few months that spring with the live takes of "Ghost" and "Numbness For Sound" before moving on.
