Claude says:Howie Day — the Brewer-raised singer-songwriter who toured extensively behind "Collide" — released this album a decade after his commercial peak, working looser and more direct than the layered pop-rock of his Epic Records years. You grabbed it a year after release in summer 2012 and played it hard for a single month: the title track, "Damaged," "Isn't It Obvious," the whole first half. It clicked briefly then disappeared, but those weeks left "Ceasefire" and "So Much Love" lodged somewhere.
