Claude says:Greta Van Fleet's debut landed in 2018 after their EPs had already topped rock radio, written mostly in a two-week studio rush even though they'd planned to mine years of old material — they threw in lap steel and sitar-modified guitars, built a concept album about ecological collapse and hate, and named it after a poem Josh Kiszka scribbled half-asleep on the tour bus. You had one lone play in early 2020 that went nowhere, then in July 2021 it finally clicked and you burned through it in a single month, leaning hardest on "The Cold Wind" and the title track.
