This Fort Worth rock band came up through Texas clubs in the mid-2000s, landing a Virgin Records deal that produced a Heatseekers hit and two Adult Top 40 singles before they went independent. Under Fire arrived the same year they parted with the label — a mid-tempo alternative rock album in the vein of The Fray or Augustana, built on piano-driven hooks and radio-ready choruses. You gave it a concentrated month in early 2012, gravitating toward "Crawling" and "Heart of the Young" before moving on.
