Gorillaz's eighth album was recorded mostly in Los Angeles with Greg Kurstin in 2021 and came out in early 2023 as their swan song for Parlophone — a pop-heavy set featuring Stevie Nicks, Tame Impala, Beck, and Thundercat, loosely themed around conspiracy theories and online echo chambers. You caught "New Gold" with Tame Impala and Bootie Brown a few months after release, but it didn't stick around.
