Claude says:Glen Hansard's fourth solo record arrived in 2019 on Anti-, earning warm reviews for its raw-edged folk-rock. You came to it three years later in the summer of 2022, working through nearly the whole tracklist in a single month—"I'll Be You, Be Me" and "Don't Settle" up front, then down through "Fool's Game," "Mary," and the closing stretch. It was a concentrated pass, gone by August, the kind of album that served a moment and then slipped away.
