Claude says:Francis Albert Sinatra, the Chairman of the Board who spent decades defining American popular song, made more than a few Christmas records over the years — this compilation pulls from those sessions. The arrangements are lush but never saccharine, Sinatra's phrasing effortlessly swinging even when the material tilts sentimental. You played it through one December and left it there: "The Christmas Waltz" and "Mistletoe and Holly" got the most air, but the whole thing served its purpose for that month and hasn't come back since.
