Claude says:Explosions in the Sky recorded this one over summer 2006, their fifth album and a reference to a line from Cassavetes' A Woman Under the Influence. Released in February 2007 via Temporary Residence, it came with a limited bonus disc of remixes and sent the band on tour with Eluvium, then later the Smashing Pumpkins. You grabbed it right away that March and wore it hard through early 2008, then kept circling back in waves — "The Birth and Death of the Day" and "Welcome, Ghosts" have stuck around the longest.
