Claude says:Dermot Kennedy is the Irish singer-songwriter from Rathcoole who busked on Grafton Street as a teenager and blends folk with hip-hop influences picked up from 50 Cent and Jay-Z. Sonder leans into arena-sized emotion — big choruses, orchestral swells, and his rough-edged croon pushing through layers of production that split the difference between confessional and cinematic. You locked into it hard last summer and then circled back this fall, living mostly in "Divide," "Kiss Me," and "One Life" — the kind of songs that sound like they're built for headlights and long drives.
