Claude says:Death Cab for Cutie's third album came out in 2001 on Barsuk Records with Chris Walla producing and Michael Schorr on drums for his only full-length with the band. It's the one that got them on The O.C. with "A Movie Script Ending" and earned solid reviews for Gibbard's observational lyrics and achingly melodic guitars. You picked it up five years after release in mid-2006, then circled back hard in 2009 and 2010 — "We Laugh Indoors" and "Steadier Footing" stayed in heaviest rotation, though you worked through most of the record.
