Claude says:David Gray's the British singer-songwriter who went stratospheric with White Ladder in 2000, turning folktronic into a chart-topping formula that made him a fixture of early-aughts radio. After The Harvest finds him decades later, still mining that vein of wistful, electronic-tinged folk-rock — warm synths, conversational vocals, the kind of melancholy that doesn't quite ache. You gave the title track a spin or two last fall, enough to clock the vibe but not enough to stick around.
