Adam Duritz and David Bryson launched Counting Crows in San Francisco in 1991, and their 1993 debut August & Everything After turned "Mr. Jones" into a seven-million-selling breakthrough that made them staples of '90s rock radio. This Town Hall recording catches the band stretching those songs into longer, looser arrangements—you leaned hard into it for a single month in mid-2018, running "Anna Begins," "Perfect Blue Buildings," and "Ghost Train" on repeat before moving on.
