Claude says:Coldplay formed in London in 1997 and released this third album in 2005, closing what they considered a trilogy after Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head. X & Y swings between vast, echoey arena rock and quieter, more introspective moments — Chris Martin's piano and Jonny Buckland's delay-soaked guitar carving out huge emotional spaces. You had a few scattered plays in 2006 and 2007 that didn't stick, but it properly took hold in late 2008, and you've kept circling back ever since, especially to "Fix You" and "The Hardest Part."
