Claude says:Coldplay's 2008 album came together around a looping string section and digitally processed piano, with Chris Martin lifting the title from Frida Kahlo's final painting after visiting her museum in Mexico — the lyrics weave through the fall of kings and the French Revolution until a church bell sound effect locked the whole thing in place. You didn't get around to it until 2019, more than a decade after release, but once it clicked that June you played it heavily (especially "Glass of Water" and both "Life in Technicolor" versions), came back in scattered waves through 2022, then kept it in quiet reserve through 2025.
