Claude says:Justin Vernon's Bon Iver project emerged from a Wisconsin winter retreat after the collapse of his previous band and a relationship, where the isolated cabin sessions birthed For Emma, Forever Ago and established his fragile, layered folk sound. This brief EP extends that aesthetic with spare, aching arrangements and Vernon's falsetto threading through the cold. You gave it a quick spin in April 2011, returning most often to "Babys" and "Beach Baby," but it never stuck around.
