Claude says:Bear's Den came together in London in 2009 after multi-instrumentalists Kevin Jones and Andrew Davie left their previous band Cherbourg. Jones co-founded Communion Records with Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons. This debut EP delivers sweeping alternative folk built on layered harmonies, fingerpicked guitars, and aching crescendos that feel both intimate and enormous. You grabbed it right when it came out in late 2014 and fell into the two-part "Sahara" and "Sophie" hard — they became anchors through that first winter and well into 2015, then pulled you back repeatedly across the next decade.
